The study of modern economic literature has shown that scientists-economists have studied and explained numerous indices that allow evaluate the present day state of reproduction of the fixed capital.</p> <p>The authors propose their own approach to evaluation of effectiveness of state regulation of the fixed capital reproduction through the prism of the fixed capital reproduction process. That is, the authors made a detailed description of specific indices of effectiveness at certain stages of the process of reproduction of the fixed capital, which is presented in the summary table. Comprehensive effectiveness of state regulation of the fixed capital reproduction is determined using an integrated index that characterizes effectiveness of state regulation of the fixed capital reproduction using the method of taxonomic analysis applied for multidimensional economic concepts that are described by a considerable number of indices.</p> <p>Calculations proved instability of the taxonomic indices during the study period which, according to the authors, indicates a decline in the efficiency of reproduction processes connected with reproduction of the fixed capital in Ukraine.</p>
ARTICLE2021-05-12T00:00:00.000+00:00Economic Mechanism of Optimizing the Innovation Investment Program of the Development of Agro-Industrial Productionhttps://sciendo.com/article/10.15544/mts.2021.11
<title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> <p>The progressive activity of agro-industrial production in the context of imperfect competition, turbulence of the environment and unexpected market challenges in the agro-industrial market because of spread of COVID-19 should be ensured by the most effective selection of the optimal innovation and investment program. Such program must be adapted to the realities of today, provide effective innovation projects and financial resources for their implementation support. This can be achieved due to the formation of a comprehensive innovation and investment program for multidirectional projects taking into account the required amount of money at all stages of risky innovative activities implementation. In this regard, the aim of the article is to conceptualize the implementation of the innovation and investment program in the activities of agro-industrial enterprises using an adaptive model of the optimal selection of the most effective projects or diversification of existing ones and planning their intrusion into the consumer market by choosing the optimal financial strategy for innovation support. To achieve the aim, the following methods were used: observation, system analysis, economic and mathematical and experimental modeling, abstract-logical and graphical method. The economic and mathematical model developed by the authors can be used in the practical activity of agro-industrial enterprises. This model enables to determine a promising strategy of innovative development and form the target programs for their financial support under conditions of limited resources and market changes in agriculture.</p>
ARTICLE2021-05-12T00:00:00.000+00:00Competitive Advantage in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): A Systematic Mapping Studyhttps://sciendo.com/article/10.15544/mts.2021.07
<title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> <p>Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is likely to have an advantage over competitors due to their strategic plans. This included the use of the Systematic Mapping Study (SMS) to review scientific articles related to competitive advantage depending on the focus, locus, and type of study. The results of this mapping are expected to contribute to both researchers and practitioners in determining the research focus gap and the next novelty of competitive advantage research. Thus, this study classified competitive advantage based on the overview of previous research topics and trends.</p>
ARTICLE2021-05-12T00:00:00.000+00:00The Role of United Territorial Communities in the Functioning of Agricultural Enterpriseshttps://sciendo.com/article/10.15544/mts.2021.05
<title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> <p>The article reveals the features of the balanced development of the United Territorial Communities (UTCs) in Ukraine which aims to create the preconditions for their stable growth and improvement of the quality of life in the countryside. The purpose of this research is to assess and benchmark the flexibility level of differently sized agricultural enterprises. Such research methods as standardization and integrated evaluation (to define the partial and integrated flexibility coefficients), correlation and regression analysis (to assess the interrelation between the farm size and flexibility) as well as techniques of mathematical statistics (to benchmark the flexibility level of agricultural companies varying in size) have been used in this study. It has revealed that the bigger the enterprise is, the more strategic flexibility it has. However, its structural flexibility and the value of the integrated flexibility coefficient are independent of the company size. Smaller agricultural enterprises are less strategically flexible compared to their larger counterparts due to limited resources.</p>
ARTICLE2021-05-12T00:00:00.000+00:00Quintuple Helix Model: Investment Aspects of Higher Education Impact on Sustainabilityhttps://sciendo.com/article/10.15544/mts.2021.10
<title style='display:none'>Abstract</title> <p>The interdisciplinary analysis of sustainability requires an in-depth study of interactions between different economic entities, and identifying investment aspects of developing relations between them. The concept of Quintuple Helix Model allowed to analyze the interactions and mutual influence between universities, industry (business), government, civil society and the natural environment. Within the Quintuple Helix Model, the central role in the development of the economy is given to knowledge and their transfer between the various subsystems of the Model. The higher education subsystem occupies a special place in the Model because of such reasons: 1) within the educational activity, universities train highly qualified personnel for the national economy; 2) within the extracurricular activity, universities develop new green consciousness of the young generation that is crucial for further sustainable development of the national economy; 3) within the research activity, universities develop innovative regenerative technologies and environmental-friendly technologies. Universities provide the generation, transfer and diffusion of sustainable knowledge in society and business. Synergy of higher education (universities), business (industry), government, public (civil society) is able to create a foundation for sustainable development of the national economy, increase the level of environmental protection, reduce the CO2 emissions, ensure rational use of exhaustive resources, create new green products and raise the standard of living of the country’s population.</p>
ARTICLE2021-05-12T00:00:00.000+00:00en-us-1
